Beginning late winter 2012, Calumma borrowed a 90’s Music Station synthesizer from her friend & producer ‘Slur Cult’ and began programming beats &
recording. Mixing 808 beats with African percussion and adding layer upon
layer of harmonized vocals to craft sound rather than explore structure.
